You remain the owner of your content.
  • Do not post content you do not have the right to. You are responsible for your content and agree to indemnify us for claims arising from it (see #16).

12) Copyright complaints (DMCA/UK/EU)

If you believe content infringes your copyright, please send a notice to abc@academyofbloodchemistry.com with:

  • Your contact details.
  • A description and location (URL) of the allegedly infringing content.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury (or equivalent), that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them.

13) Technical requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you have the equipment, software, and internet connection necessary to access the Course (e.g., a modern browser and reliable broadband). We are not responsible for your inability to access the Course due to your equipment or internet service.

14) Refunds, cancellations & cooling‑off

Summary

We aim to make access clear: once you choose immediate access to the digital Course, your statutory 14‑day right to cancel no longer applies once supply begins. If your purchase includes physical materials (e.g., a printed manual), you still have a 14‑day right to cancel and return those goods.

14‑day consumer cooling‑off (UK/EU):

  • If you are a consumer in the UK/EU, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason before digital content is supplied. By accessing any part of the Course within the 14‑day period, you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once supply begins. This does not affect your rights if the content is faulty.
  • Any materials supplied, i.e., the course manual, should be returned by (UK only) Royal Mail recorded/signed for post and in a state suitable for restocking. Should the materials not be suitable for restocking, then a fee of £150 will be applicable and deducted from any possible refund. We advise using packaging materials suitable for withstanding the use of the mail services.
  • If outside of the UK, returns are to be made by international courier, and contact the office at info@academyofbloodchemistry.com to assist in organisation if applicable.

All sales final:

  • Except where required by law, all sales are final and non‑refundable.

Faulty digital content: If the Course is defective, we will repair, replace, or refund as required by applicable law (e.g., UK Consumer Rights Act 2015).

15) Third‑party services

We may integrate or link to third‑party services (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Stripe, Klarna, and other payment processors). Your use of those services is governed by the third party’s terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third‑party services.

  • Subject to the preceding sentence, we will not be liable for: (a) loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data; (b) indirect or consequential loss; or (c) any amount exceeding the total fees you paid for the Course in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

18) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the Course.

19) Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access (with or without notice) if you breach these terms or if required for legal/operational reasons. Upon termination, your license in #6 ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., ##10–11, 16–21) will survive.

20) Changes to the Course and these terms

We may update or modify the Course to improve content or comply with the law. We may update these terms by posting the revised version on the Site and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be notified by email or prominent notice. If you continue using the Course after changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
